Jessica + Ian = love!

I checked in with Jessica earlier in the week and we were both happy because it looked like Saturday would be just as beautiful as the rest of the week before her wedding day. Imagine my shock when I checked http://www.weather.com/ and found out that it was going to pour rain all-day-long, specifically forecasted for the time we had set aside to do their outside portraits at the Green Lake Chalet.

*sigh*

Saturday morning I woke up and indeed, it was raining as promised. I told myself, "It's good luck for the bride." LOL

We came to the Susitna club on base with studio equipment to set up to do the formal portraits. Jessica and Ian were hurrying around trying to get ready and just trying to tie up the loose ends. The nerves were a little high in the ladies' dressing room but we managed to laugh and get ready. Tears were close for mother and daughter at this time.

I went into the room where the ceremony and reception were going to be and captured this image of the beautiful cake made by Rebecca Hayes (you've seen her maternity images on my blog):

We did some studio shots of the girls together, and other members of the wedding party (of course this is the teaser... you'll see the rest of the images in a couple of weeks):

The ceremony began soon after. Here is Jessica and her dad:

And a shy moment while exchanging rings:

Check out the rocks!

And some more studio formal shots:

A moment from the bride and groom's first dance:

The Father/Daughter dance was very touching to watch... Jessica's tall Dad was very handsome in his AF blues and he was very tender with his lovely daughter.

And at the very end of the party, the sun came out and so as Jessica and Ian walked towards the front door of the Susitna Club to begin their new life together as husband and wife, the sunlight beckoned to them and they paused for a kiss.

Congratulations to you two lovebirds and I hope that you love your sneak-peek! I will talk to you again very soon!
